  • Dr. Gary Gill

    FOUNDER

    Dr. Gurmit S. Gill, D.C. Bio 2024

    Dr. Gurmit S. Gill, D.C., CCSP has been a practicing chiropractor for 23 years. He graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences with his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2001. Dr. Gill has treated over 6000 patients and has performed over 140,000 chiropractic procedures during this time. His specialties include Motor Vehicle Collision Trauma (Whiplash Injuries), Industrial Injuries, and Sports Injuries. He is a Certified Auto Safety Trainer, Certified in Low-Speed Auto Collisions, and a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr. Gills personal interests include enjoying time with his family, kayaking, hiking, and playing recreational hockey. Dr. Gill also currently serves as a head coach of his younger son’s U11 ‘A’ hockey team and has assisted coaching his older son’s hockey teams through U18 hockey. His older son is a defenseman for the Bellingham Blazers.

    How can Dr. Gill help the Bellingham Blazers: He brings years of experience handling spinal and extremity traumatic soft tissue and joint injuries, as well as concussion evaluation and management. He can also help with sports nutrition and physiology, pre and post practice/game warm up’s and cool down’s, as well as teaching proper exercise techniques with weight training and dryland training.

  • Dr. Surjeet S. Gill, M.D

    Dr. Surjeet S. Gill, M.D. Bio 2024

    Dr. Surjeet S. Gill, M.D. completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2011, and then went on to complete his residency in Pediatric Medicine in 2015. He currently serves as a board-certified pediatrician at Peacehealth Medical Clinic in Bellingham, Washington. Dr. Gill also has experience as a software developer and educator. Since completing medical school, he has several publications in prestigious medical journals, as well as doing educational presentations at various locations. Dr. Gill is known for his pleasant demeanor, and meticulous knowledge and assessment of pediatric ailments and injuries. His personal interests include skiing, hiking, and spending time with his family and friends.

    How can Dr. Gill help the Bellingham Blazers: Dr. Gill can provide general and pediatric medical services, including evaluations, ordering diagnostic studies, prescription medication management, and make appropriate referrals within the medical community and specialists as needed.

  • Dr. Charlene Sapida

    Dr. Charlene Sapida, DPT Bio 2024

    Dr. Charlene Sapida, DPT received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound in 2005 after graduating with a bachelor's in psychology at the University of Washington. Her post graduate specialties include manual therapy, neuromuscular movement mechanics, orthopedic rehabilitation and injury prevention. Dr. Sapida has extensive clinical experience specializing in work related injuries, motor vehicle collision injuries, sports injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, and concussion evaluation and treatment. Her strong emphasis of manual techniques coupled with teaching optimal movement patterns helps patients recover from injury and pain faster. Dr. Sapida is a fan of all sports and enjoys helping athletes of all ages prevent injuries, rehabilitate their bodies, and perform at their best.

    How can Dr. Sapida help the Bellingham Blazers: Being a physical therapist, Dr. Sapida brings a strong knowledge of proper exercise mechanics, exercise physiology, and ways to train the muscles and joints to prevent injury, and help expedite time from injury recovery. Dr. Sapida can provide specific exercises and programs to help enhance athletic performance. She can also educate the players on proper lifting and exercise ergonomics, and help apply and teach proper usage of kinesio-taping. Dr. Sapida also has post-graduate training on concussion evaluation and management.

  • Dr. Mohammad Shegeft, N.D

    Dr. Mohammad Shegeft, N.D. Bio 2024

    Dr. Mohammad Shegeft, N.D. received his Naturopathic Medicine Degree in 2013 from the prestigious Bastyr University. Since then he has precured and completed advanced training in Kinesio Taping, Dry Needling and Trigger Point Injection therapy, Prolozone and PRP injection therapy, Hormone therapy, and Occupational Medicine. In his 14 years of practice, Dr. Shegeft has taught at his alma motor as adjunct professor, has trained students and residents at his practice, hosted seminars in IV therapy and injection therapies, and has served as a member of board of directors for Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. He is currently the owner and medical director of Connect Integrative Medicine in Edmonds, WA, and Safety Supervisor and Occupational Medicine provider at Everett Spine and Rehab in Everett WA. He brings years of knowledge and experience treating a wide variety of medical conditions, with an emphasis on injuries of the spine and extremities.

    How can Dr. Shegeft help with the Bellingham Blazers: Dr. Shegeft can help with providing IV therapy to the players, especially when there are several back-to-back games. IV therapy includes providing high quality vitamin and supplementation directly to the blood stream, and helps athletes recover from games and practices faster, in preparation for the next event. Dr. Shegeft also can help with dry-needling and trigger point injections to injured muscles and tendons, often speeding the recovery time. He also provides PRP injections to joints and tendons, which has shown to vastly improve recovery from sports-related injuries.
